WORKSHOPS
We understand the challenges facing small-scale foodpreneurs and also understand the intricacies and opportunities in the burgeoning new food economy. Small Potatoes shares our 15 years of experience in the food system through dynamic, fun, and practical workshops to help people launch and grow food businesses of all kinds. We also offer sessions on crowdfunding, as well as freelancing. Sessions run from 60 minutes to a full day and are adjusted to fit the needs of the audience, whether it be fresh faced start-ups, grizzled veterans, value added producers, farms, and everyone in between.
We have helped hundreds of attendees across the United States grow their businesses by sharing practical and actionable advice, mixed with stories of successes and failures. Sure, everyone tells you their classes are fun, but ours are. One night, while hosting a Small Potatoes workshop in a restaurant on a night it was closed, two unsuspecting people came in looking for a meal, and ended up staying for the workshops despite not being interested in starting a food business at all. How many times can you say you accidentally went to a class you weren't interested in, and stayed for the whole thing?
Besides offering self organized workshops, and work with a variety partners to put on programs for their clients, members, and users that will have your community buzzing for weeks and months afterwards. We proudly partner with Small Business Development Centers to provide sessions both for their clients as well as their staff. We can help to identify leaders, partners, and sponsors in your community as well as with traditionally promoting your event.
Check out the list of the sessions we offer below. If you're interested in a full program description, send an email to marty@iamsmallpotatoes.com.
